Chakrapani Majumdar is Head of Quality Assurance for Veeda Clinical Research. Chakrapani completed a Masters in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal. During his post graduation, he specialized in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics (from Dept. of Pharmacology, Kasturba Medical College – Manipal) along with Biostatistics and Spectroscopic & Chromatographic Methods of Pharmaceutical Analysis. Chakrapani learnt the basic rules of clinical research through the academic curriculum and by assisting in various research activities at the collegiate level.

Chakrapani has gained an insight into clinical operations of Bioequivalence, Phase II/III clinical trials, medical writing, statistics and safety reporting by working in various roles for Lambda Therapeutic Research Pvt. Ltd., and Cadila Healthcare limited, starting from Sep-2000. Having worked on the operational front, he chose his career in Quality Assurance with an assignment in Corporate Quality Assurance of Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd., India in 2004. After working on the quality aspects of bioequivalence, software validation and CRO qualification programs of Ranbaxy Labs, Chakrapani joined Veeda CR as a Sr. Scientist – Quality Assurance in Jan-2006. Since then, he has facilitated over 40 client qualification audits and over 70 client due diligence visits, capability assessments, client risk / gap analysis visits and various client-Veeda CR interactions pre- & post-study. He also took Veeda CR through various regulatory inspections such as WHO, ANVISA, USFDA & MHRA. Chakrapani is responsible for a team of auditors taking care of QA-operations for Bioavailability / Bioequivalence, Phase 1 Clinical Trials and Veeda-Biometrics division.
